I found a blog called Plainfeather by a gentleman named James Mitchell. He lived in Hamburg and taught English there in the early 1980s. While there he took a few day trips out to Lüneburg and took some pictures. Recently he seems to have gotten around to putting them online. Check them out!
Bonus Early 80s Hamburg Photos: here and here.
Hey, it’s the Hamburger Rathaus. Goddamn, that looks like a postcard.
I’ve been experimenting with different filters. This was taken with a circular polarizer and an extra UV filter. That’s kind of doppelt gemoppelt but it resulted in the fine picture you see here.
Seen in Hamburg on the side of a bus.
Compared to the office at my old job, my new workplace has a much better view.
This is Hauptkirche Sankt Katharinen (St. Catherine’s Church) in Hamburg.
This old school is directly next to the church and is in the process of being demolished. That’s not much of a great view but I’ll have front row seats when they knock it down.
